The Nibel Region is full of FFVII nastalgia. From the return to the spooky castle where you played with Zack in Crisis Core to entering Clouds and Tifa's house. The back story further developes when you learn new details of Chocobo Sam, Aerith's mom having a relationship with Cid (the pilot) and learning of the importance of the Black Materia. Things I like: Blue Chocobos make life easier to navigate. You can now fly/float with these chocobo types and it makes getting stuck in a moutain a thing of the past. I finally made it to the Golden Saucer! This place is exactly how i remember it (hmm, wasnt there a basketball game in the original where you had to shoot some hoops). There are new games and new storylines that really help further the characters, especially the bond between Tifa and Cloud. Which games have I played so far? So there is a space game, where you have to shoot down other planes, also a boxing game where you have to select the right buttons to take down a muscle bound fanatic, a battle arena where both you and Tifa are enrolled in and several sets of Queens Blood. I've always been a fan of Final Fantasy and in particular VII. I remember having to trade in about 10 Sega Genesis games and putting an additional 30 bucks to purchase the 4 disk PS1 version when it originally came out. Simply, one of the best investments of my life. The unique storylines of each individual, their skill and powers, the religion, the ideologies, the betrayal, the struggles, the legacy, all leads to a fantastic voyage. This is certainly a game you cannot rush through, as each corner and inch of the map can lead to a potential gift.
